Bright and early at 5 a.m. Sunday, September 18th, my mom, dad, Owen and I set out on a loooong drive to Halifax to visit my younger sister, Alicia. What a gorgeous time of year for a road trip! The trees are all starting to change to beautiful yellows, oranges, and reds and the sky is a beautiful contrasting blue. Sounds of the 60’s played on the Sirius Satelitte radio. It was amazing. In the 20 hours in the car we never heard the same song twice! We arrived to Halifax in the wee hours of the night with sore legs and numb bums.
We had a great week. It was great to see my sister. We ate lots of fantastic seafood, walked lots and took lots of photos! I feel at home in Halifax. I love being near the Ocean. I love the salty air and the misty skies. It’s no secret that I am a fan of all things nautical. I am sad that the time flew by so quickly!
Here are just a few of my favorite pictures from my trip!
It was inspiring to visit small towns surrounding Halifax and see lots of small galleries and art shops. Now I am back at the studio and left to daydream about the day when I can have a gallery/shop of my own. (Oh and maybe a bed and breakfast in an old house painted yellow?)
Thanks for having us visit Mubs! Miss you already!
