Collecting Dust

Ever since I was little I loved collecting things. First it was rocks, then buttons, stamps, beads, coins, the list goes on and on and on! I love going to antique stores and seeing what unique thing I can covet. Don’t get me wrong. I am not a hoarder! Only the most treasured things get to remain in my possession.

Vintage Buttons from my Grammy

Lately I have been really interested in collecting fossils. They are so unique and interesting. I wish I knew all about what they were and where they came from. To say I like long walks on the beach is an understatement. I walk the beach hunched over, looking at the ground, stopping and stooping every few steps to pick up something off the the ground!

Shells and Fossils

I don’t really know what I am going to do with all my finds. I hope that they don’t just sit around collecting dust. I am hoping one day a magnificent idea pops into my head. I am thinking of ways I could possibly incorporate my finds into my work…possibly in the new locket pieces I am working on! I want to find a way to immortalize these unique treasures and give them the spotlight they deserve!
